Where do the cool kids live?

Somewhere between comfort and style, just this side of crazy.
We like boys in skinny jeans and T shirts that are comfy with a bit of an edge. Girls in bold prints, look-at-me accessories and just a little attitude. We always like well-made, well-played and never staid.

AB spoon was started back in 2005 by Nicky Lane and Beatriz Stripling with the goal of creating a one-stop showroom for cutting edge lines that were anything but cookie-cutter, made for the stores seeking something new and different. Mission accomplished!

Known for nurturing lines from all over the globe, whether it’s from Australia or Scandinavia, Lane and Stripling have a keen eye for what’s next. “We’ve always loved the kids market and decided to open up a showroom once we both got pregnant within months of each other,” laughs Lane, who is a garmento veteran with experience on both sides of the fashion fence, as a manufacturer and as a sales rep. “There’s nothing more thrilling to us than finding a line in the kids market, coming up with a sales and marketing strategy and watching it fly,” adds Stripling, who also comes to the table with years managing hi-end, hi-stakes womenswear showrooms before launching AB Spoon. “Kids clothing and accessories is a fun sandbox to play in. You can take risks, really work side-by-side with the creatives of a brand and, let’s face it, kids dress way more fun than most adults.”

There, now you know where the cool kids live.
